Damaged files on Sandisk 512 Mb

Suddenly, 2 or 3 jpg-picture-files were damaged.

It is not possible to look at the pictures with the Sandisk in the camera
(Canon IXUS 55).
It is still possible to look at some pictures with the Sandisk in the camera
(Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ7).
It is however impossible to make the link with the computer with the Sandisk
in the camera (Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ7).

With MJM Photo Recovery, it was possible to retrieve some of the pictures,
but...
I can see the whole picture as a thumbnail, but when I try to look at it
with Microsoft Phote Editor e.g. a grey zone appears instead of the bottom
area of the picture.
I have the idea that there is a certain "stop"-sequence missing in the
picture-file.

Can somebody help me, please.
I rescued many pictures from the card, but - of course - not the most
valuable ones.

I would go to Sandisk Internet site for help. I am told they have recovery
tools.
If this fails I would try
