We have somehow deleted the mouse driver and now, on strartup, the "You have
chosen selective start up" screen appears and I can't find out how to enable
the keyboard for reloading the mouse. CTRL+ESC does not work.

Somewhat confusing- loss of mouse or keyboard?
The message re:selective startup usually implies a change in the startup tab
of the system configuration utility - resulting in the notice on the next
boot. However the "OK" option is normally selected and you should be able
to become functional by hitting the "Enter" key - upon re-b oot Windows
should re-install the mouse driver.
