lost midi files when pps sent out

I'm using pp 2003 (ox xp) and have included midi files in the presentation.
When I look at the pps on my computer, the music plays. However, when I send
it out, there is no music. I've copied it to a disc and still no music when
played on any other computer. Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong
and/or how to fix this problem? Thanks in advance for any assistance.

I suppose the midi files are linked to your powerpoint presentation, right?
You'd better put the midi files and ppt files in the same file and send your
powerpoint presentation together with the midi files to another computer.
If you only send the ppt not with sound files, the link between the ppt and
sound files is broken and powerpoint can not find the sound files from the
broken link.
Besides, you'd better embed your midi files in powerpoint,so that If you make
a change to the original source ppt file, the change will not show up in the
destination file(sound files).
I'd to share some experience about embedded sound file in powerpoint:

Loong,

Thank you for responding. I will read the information from the link and try
to imbed the midi files. Hopefully this will work.

The only files that get embedded are .wav files. all others are linked and must travel with the presentation

Every time I send a PPS out, I get the comment where's the sound. I email
myself a copy of the PPS and the sound works opn the email I send myself. I
also make a copy of the PPS and place it on CD and it plays with sound, when,
I run it on my computer. I also tried the PFC PRO to help with the sound. I
still get the where"s the sound. Please tell me what to do to correct this
problem.
Thank you
