Lost Internet Connection...

Hi, my internet has been acting weird lately (i had to
manually restart a couple times in a day). I use a cable
modem, and i called my cable company, but the problem
isn't with my connection, and they said it was with
windows. I can get on the web and everything like normal,
but when i go to download stuff, after 20 mins or so i
loose my internet abilities (with all aplications)and if i
wait a while, the internet will work again w/o me having
to restart my pc. Or i can just restart my pc and it will
work for a while. I'm just wondering if there is some
setting that might have been changed some how....please
help! i need to download things! haha, thanks anybody

20 min huh? Maybe your computer is powering down the card. The fix may
be to tell Windows to stop doing that:

For Windows XP:
Start/Run, type in devmgmt.msc.
Look at the Properties of your card, click on the Power Management tab,
uncheck "Allow computer to turn off this device...".

tried all those but none worked. thanx though. i think
it might have something to do with my bittorrent program
or bandwidth?? is that possible?
