lost internet connection with wireless adapter

when i connect the wireless adapter, i lose the ability to connect to the
internet. However, if i stil have IE open, i can connect. I only lose
connection if i close and reopen IE. Also, if i reboot, the startup programs
will not load until i disable svchost.exe local service. and i still can't
connect with cable or wireless. i have to disconnect the wireless adapter
adn run system restore to get running again

If you are lucky enough to have a LinkSys adapter then call 1-800-326-7114
and I an sure they can resolve your problem.

Dear ColTom2:

I do have Linksys but they had no idea what the problem was. Since the
adapter works, that is, until i close IE, they don't see it as their problem.
They referred me to Microsoft. Can anyone help?
