lost dvd/cdrw icon in my computer

the drivers for my dvd/cdrw do not load. there is no icon in my computer and
when i look in the device manager its not showing there.
it did appear briefly and i managed to play a dvd but next time logged on it
had gone again.
i have without luck been trying to obtain a the drivers but cant seem to get
them anywhere the drive is QSI SBL - 161
 
You should have gotten some utility disks when you purchased your PC.
Check there for drivers. Without you furnishing the manufacturer's name
of the DVD/CD-RW its like looking for a needle in a haystack. I believe
the SBL portion of the driver stands for Sound Blaster Live. Right?
 
to be honest im not sure what it stands for but the maker appears to be

i can get anything on there web site. and yes i did get the driver cd put it
away and now when i need it cant find it.
