While clearing out old files etc my PC froze and I had to restart. On restart the 2nd HDD has disappeared completely. It isn't in disk management and when I tried system restore it said the drive couldn't be reinstated as it was 'turned off or removed'.
Help please!!!

I haven't checked any connections because I haven't had the case open. I have been trying to reinstall XP and RAID on this computer but I'm beginning to think that someone has been messing about with it before it came to me. Any suggestions about where to start to sort things out?

pop the side off (unplug from the wall first, you dont want anymore problems than you have) and make sure the drive is plugged in properly then try again

does it show in the BIOS ?

It was showing in the BIOS but now it has gone from there as well. I'll open it up and take a look inside.

Thanks for the help ME_2001 I've changed the SATA cables and the drive is back. It must have just been coincidence it went while I was deleting stuff.
