Lost custom favorites icons in IE 6.0

I had several custom icons next to the site names on my
favorites list. Some time ago the custom icons
disappeared and the generic IE icon was substituted. If
I delete a particlular favorite from the list & then go
to that favorites web page and save it again, the icon
reappears. Short of going to each page and doing this,
is there another way?

BTW, if I scroll to the item in the favorites and then
click "properties", then "change icon", the custom icon
does not appear in the list.

These icons (favicons) are stored in the termporary internet files folder.
To make them permanent, find them in the TIF, copy them to a separate folder
and rename them.

Then, all you need to do is right click the favorite link, select
properties, go to change icon, and browse to the one you want.

Go get your favicon back, empty your cache, delete your history and visit
the site anew.

Download FavOrg from line 108, right. It will scan your favorites on
line, extract any available from the website (will not overwrite any
provided by you if that option is taken), and keep them safe.
