I have used the Business Contact Database for several weeks building up a long list of Accounts and Business Contacts.
Today on opening Outlook it tells me that the database is no longer there!
I searched through help but nothing was of value.
I contacted Microsoft and downloaded Assist to let someone in India investigate my machine.
He was only able to create a new database (totally blank) for BCM, but I can see the old master files in MSSQL$MICROSOFTSMLBIZ folder.
These files do not show in the database list in Manage Database. It will not repair and I cannot import the files as you would a .pst into Outlook.
The database cannot be converted into another file format and imported either.
Microsoft must know what this problem is as I've seen it on other forums (through Googling the error message) so why weren't they able to help me today.
Have I REALLY got to start from scratch and pull all the data from emails, contracts and other paperwork???
What's the guarantee that this won't happen again if I do input all the data again???
So annoying!
