Loss of Mouse

I am running windows Vista 64 bit Premium Home Edition and I keep losing the
mouse control during gaming, this is very annoying when your in the middle of
Battlefield 2142. When I plug my mouse into my Z Board USB hub both the mouse
and the keyboard go off. Please Help
