I hope you can help me. My pc has lost all access to cd roms and writers, keyboard and a host of other applications. The error codes 39 and 10 are appearing. I have tried loading an external cd rom and although the device is shown as present and the driver seems to load via a floppy the two do not seem to meet hence do not work. I have done the hot key registry tip removing upper and lower filters to no avail. I now want to format the hard drive and start anew but I cannot use cds and if I try to format the C drive via my computer it does not want to do that either. My hands are completly tied, I have limited access to the pc, cannot use drives, no anti virus runs if I try to get on line, have no sound and have no way other than the mouse to input any commands due to no keyboard..HELP!!!!!!!!!!
