Cd-rom Issues

I have a pc. It was working fine but one day it stopped reading or
playing any kind of cd. Everything else works fine. I place the cd in
the cd-rom and it doesnt read it and after a few seconds the cd rom
drive opens by itself. What can I do? Thanks!

Check your ide and power connections. You may even want to replace the ide
cable to be sure it NOT just the cable. If possible check the drive on
another computer.
