Losing patches, updates, etc

Hi all

Each time I do a "Repair" of my XP Pro I lose the updates, patches, etc and
have to re-download an ever increasing number of these.

I believe that it is possible to save all these to disc (saving SP1 as well)
but my question is: where are these and how do I save/reinstall these?

Download then in the first instance from Windows Update Catalog.
In Windows Update, go to "Personalixe Windows Update" and click on "Show
Windows Update Catalog". You can then go there and download patches to be
either installed at a later date, or burned to a CD, or both.

As an added suggestion, when you download these updates and patches,
check "Properties" and include the Date of the file name so they can
be installed in order.
