Looking for freeware.....

Hey all you Freeware Guru's out there,

Looking for freeware that will keep a user online... A friend of mine gets
disconnected after about 30 minutes online...Is there any freeware that can
be used so that they do not get disconnected. They have Netscape as an ISP
and was wondering if there is anything they could use.

Thanks in advance,
Phnzupp

Phnzupp;

Sorry, I can't be of help. But you did pique my curiosity...

1) Does your friend's connection terminate "after about 30 minutes..."
of no activity or while busily downloading/uploading etc?

2) I assume this is dial-up: Does your friend disable call-waiting
whilst online?

Sparky

iOpus AC Plug

http://www.iopus.com/freeware/acplug/index.htm

'ISPs often disconnect their users when there is no activity detected for a
certain period of time. This software prevents that disconnection from
happening. The “AC-Plug” sends periodic signals that will keep your Internet
connection active.'

'AC-Plug runs in the Windows system tray, uses the global Windows Internet
settings and does everything automatically. The AC-Plug is FREEWARE'

He/she probably doesn't get disconnected after 30 minutes. He/she
probably gets disconnected after no internet activity for 30 minutes.

He/she could set their emailer to check for email < 30 minutes. Or use
"Keep it Alive" :
