Looking for a file renamer capable of ...

.... renaming files based on the name of the directory structure.

For example, in every directory and its subdirectories, there's a *.jpg
file, which I want to rename to the name of the (sub)directory where it's
in.

If possible, a command line program would be more convenient (but that's
not really neccesary).

Anyone?

You can do it with THERename,

I think many of the other renamers can do this as well.

Insert before filename (right click in field for options) - column data -
path - complete path OR first subpath.
 
Just found out it's possible with the rename program I already had (1-4
Rename), thanks to your reply if found a similar option.

Excellent! I, for my part, didn't realize that 1-for-All Renamer would
insert Path or Folder. Must check those right-click options.
