only person who uses my computer how do I stop the logon asking for my name/password?I use a Sony Vaio laptop with windows xp when I type the screen just totally changes to something else. If anyone can help me I would certainly be HAPPY!

Click Start, click Run, and type control userpasswords2.
Clear the Users must enter a username and password to use
this computer check box. Click Apply. Enter the user name
and password you wish to automatically log on with, and
then click OK. Click OK.

Then set the screen, background, etc. the way you want
them. Hope this helps.

Good Luck !

Hi,

Start/run "control userpasswords2" (without the quotes).

Uncheck the box requiring a username and password, click apply/ok and follow
the prompts to set up a default logon.
