When windows starts up, my profiles are missing. Same in safe mode. Tried
ctrl-atl-del and logging on as administrator doesnt work either. Tried
getting into recovery console, now asks for an administrative password, which
shouldnt be there because I didnt put one last time this same scenario
happened and i reinstalled windows. Tried using a linux based password reset
program, it could not find any user profiles. Tried hitting shift-F10 during
an installation repair to get a command prompt and typed NUSRMGR.CPL to try
to reset passwords, windows didnt recognize any users. Any last suggestions?
I interrupted the repair installation and am going to let it go through this
time, but ive read from another post that it didnt fix anything. Looks like
i'll be installing another copy on the same partition to backup my data for
the second time in 6 months then do another fresh install unless someone has
a solution. please help!
