I have a laptop which works fine and a logitech webcam that works fine. Then
i went and installed a Nikon camera thru the usb bus and now the logitech has
become an UNKNOWN DEVICE. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the logitech
software many times, and tried deleting whatever the nikon camera did. How
do i remove all traces of the Nikon camera device so the logitech will work
again? Thank you.

Hi,

Have you tried doing a system restore to restore your computer to the point
in time before you installed the Nikon camera?

To do this, go to Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools ->
System restore.

Thanks Gary, yes I did try this - but believe it or not it still happens.
It seems that something permanently was installed into the
registry. Can/should i go into the registry and delete any
key which has NIKON in it? This seems dangerous but I
hate to go back and reinstall XP from scratch. THanks.
