I just upgrded from 98se to XP. I set up two users in the
windows user part. We run on a network with a login. The
computer won't let me log in to the network even though I
am listed as a user with administration rights.
 
If you mean by "We run on a network with a login" you have a domain
controller then.
Have you added the XP machines to the domain?

Right click my computer select properties then Computer Name then Change add
the computer to the domain.
