when ever I or anyone else on my xp system logs ourselves
in it take about a minute to load the personal settings,
then I get this error message. "windows cannot
find 'winlogin.exe'". What is wrong, and what can I do to
correct this?

Sounds like you've been infected by a virus. Use the Windows XP recovery
option, available on the disc when you start your machine.
