Security Log?

I have had my Vaio Computer using Windows XP (SP3) Media Player Edition
w/Microsoft Office 2003 for 6 years. I am getting messages when I start my
computer at logon that only the administrator can log on (that's me) because
my Security Log is Full. This is the second time I have gotten this message
within a couple of weeks. The first time I went into my System Event Logs,
saved them and then deleted them. Now, it is full again? I cannot
understand how it can be full again within a couple of weeks when it took 6
years to fill it up before. Is there somewhere else that I have to delete
them or make changes? Can anyone help me correct this? I appreciate any
help I can get. Thanks, choices

Try this to see if it helps.
Click Start > Run, type in: eventvwr.msc and press Enter or click Ok.
Right click on Security.
In the popup menu click "Clear all events".
Click "No" in the save log before clearing popup.
Right click on Security.
Click "Properties" in the popup menu.
Under the General tab > Log Size section select either "Overwrite events as
needed" or "Overwrite events older than x days".
Click Apply > Ok.
Close event viewer.
