Hello,

When you mean one side, do you mean on one account?

Check if any process is causing the hourglass by checking the CPU level.
Starting Task Manager (Ctrl+Shift+Esc) and go to the Processes tab and you
can see which process is using the CPU.

Hi : Yes we have two accounts on our pc..only one account is affected at one time..and I have checked the CPU and its very good..seems very low usage, from 4 to 10% at any time..I have run full scans using AVG 8.0 , ran spybot, ccleaner, ad-aware, etc.. now today, its not doing it all...but yesterday, I had to turn off the pc because i was worried it would damage the pc..I did clean my keyboard a while back, and i did read somewhere, that this could have caused my pointer to do this. and i think they said to press F8 to re-set my pointer..but its not doing it today!!! so far!! any suggestions would be appreciated..rags

Hello,

The hourglass is definitely not something related to your physical keyboard
or mouse. The only way to pinpoint the cause is to check the task manager
when the hourglass appears. Sorry can't offer any additional help.
