When xp system is rebooted the above error appears. C:\WINDOWS\system32\
winlogin.exe. Windows cannot find 'C:\WINDOWS\system32\winlogin.exe'. Make
sure you typed the name correctly, and try again. Anyone have any suggestions
on how to fix.

Hi TC

"Winlogin.exe" (not to be confused with the legitimate Windows file
winlogon.exe) is a nasty. It sounds as if your PC was infected at one
time but your antivirus program has deleted the rogue file; however,
registry entries that it created have been left behind and that's what
causing the error message you see.

MVP Doug Knox has a fix for this which should help:

Let us know how you get on :)
