Logging onto additional Domain Controller

Hi,
I am going to be setting up a VPN between Maryland and 4
other offices in England. I am going to be using a "Hub
and Spoke" typology where Maryland will be the hub. The
remote offices in England will have one Windows 2000
server on site setup as an additional domain controller to
the primary one in Maryland. If the VPN link drops for
what ever reason, I wanted people to still be able to
logon to there own domain controller, so they can still
work. If I put dns, dhcp on all the England offices and
set them up as a catalog server, would this work? Thanks.

Should work fine. Just use AD Sites and Services to set up the site replication
between the two sites based on the subnets. If the VPN fails, your users will still
be able to authenticate but replication between domain controllers will not be
current until link is back up and next scheduled replication occurs. The links below
may be helpful. --- Steve
