Adding a domain controller over a checkpoint VPN Tunnell

HI

I have a win 2000 single domain. I have 2 remote offices and they are
connected to my main office using checkpoint firewall. I have a VPN tunnell.
I am planning to set up a DC in each remote office and reduce the domain
traffic coming on the VPN tunnell. I have installed a win 2000 memeber server
in the remote office. When i try to promotr this server as a DC, i get a
error relating a DNS lookup.

Kiindly help

You need to configure your member servers at the remote sites to use
ONLY your Active Directory DNS server (via the tunnel).

HI Kurt

I tried both ways. I tried adding the local DNS servers and the Dns servers
at my corporate office. It is not working. if i just the Dns servers from my
main domina then the server is not able to find its way out.
