I am having a problem logging off. When I try to log off the computer doesn't
respond and I have to use the ctrl+alt+del method. Help me! Can I fix this?

I have the same problem. The icon for showing on line has disappeared from
my control tray and I cannot get it back. The box asking for the icon to be
shown is ticked

Hi,

Generally that means an application that is running, or has recently
terminated, is not behaving properly. Before logging off, hit
ctrl+shift+escape. Make sure no applications are running - if they are shut
them down. Then go to the processes tab and kill any that are unnecessary.
Start with just a few at a time, and try to logoff inbetween so you can
isolate which one is causing the problem.
