Logging into Domain creates Lag

Hello all,

I have a bizarre problem in my W2K domain. Whenever I log into my domain on
my W2K workstation, I experience a 5 second lag on certain tasks. For
example, I would right-click on an item in the Start menu, and it would hang
for about 5 seconds. This doesn't happen all the time, just at startup or
after a while. I also see a slight lag when browsing the drive list in an
Open File Dialog box. I then logged into the same workstation without
logging into the domain and the problem does not exist. Any ideas what it
could be?

Check the ipconfig/all. Does everything point to the server-IP?

Yes, of course. There is no lag when I do not log into the domain.

Have you checked for spyware and viruses? Is it fully patched?

Yes, all workstations are fully patched and virus free. This happens on
every workstation that logs into the domain.

There might be possibilty that lot of network connection is built on your
PC..

Disconnect all those connection and try again..
