Long time to log into NT Domain. HELP ME OBIWAN!

Windows XP pro takes forever to log into domain.

Event log shows nothing out of the ordinary. This is a laptop that a
user takes home and brings back to work everyday. Out of the blues,
the laptop now takes about 5 minutes just to log into the network.
Once logged, in, everything is back to normal. No lag, no network
performance issues etc.

has anyone experienced this issue before.

MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU, as it surely aint with me.. i am going
bald here, trying to resolve this issue.

Check DNS settings on the ailing PC against the settings on a PC that logs
in normally, slow logins are often caused by incorrect DNS settings.
