"Log on using dial-up connection"

at login screen I checked "Log on using dial-up connection" box.
When the "choose a network connection" list prompts, I get alternatives that
where previously deleted from "Network Conections". This is an XP computer
w/SP2!

Any Suggestions?

I don't know where it finds that list--somewhere in the registry,
presumably. Do they work? Are you sure they are gone from Network
Connections?

After SP2 dial-in connections went south (to VPN area). I deleted them but
they still coming up un the network connection list when using "Log on using
dial-up connection" box. I think there is a policy that wrongly recreates
them and/or mantains this list.

Any suggestions???

Is this machine joined to a domain? Are there likely to be group policies
involved?
