Every time I either log off of an account or switch user, as soon as I enter
the password on another account, they computer immediately restarts without
warning. I'm running XP Pro. What could the problem be?

To repair all system files, go to Start/Run, and type: SFC /SCANNOW

I ran the program you suggested- it finished without saying anything to me,
and I have yet to try log off/log on again.

However, last time it happened, I got the following error message on a blue
screen:

STOP: c000021a {FATAL SYSTEM ERROR}
The Session Manager system process terminated unexpectedly with a status of
0xc0000005 (0x7c80ff2d 0x002ef800)
The system has been shut down.

0xc000021a STOP error,where the ntoskrnl.exe or ntdll.dll files were not replaced, Boot to Recovery Console, check version, date and
time of ntoskrnl.exe and ntdll.dll. expand them from the SP2 install source, available in %windir%\servicepackfiles folder

Was it just me, or did something just fly over my head? :)

Can you expound on what this means?

Thanks!
