How can I log off Windows XP without saving settings?

Occasionally I use remote desktop to take over the Console from home. It
rearranges the icons to fit my 14-inch laptop. When I get back to work in
the morning, I'd like to quit out of Windows and log back in and have the
icons in there origional positions.

I've tried combinations of Shift and Control with the log off on the Start
Menu, with zero luck.

Please don't suggest unplugging the machine, my coworkers have already had
that brainstorm :).

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer]
"NoSaveSettings"=dword:00000001

Thanks for the quick response.

Won't that turn off saving settings each time i log off? I only want to
turn off saving settings periodically.

You can't have everything.

"NoSaveSettings"=dword:00000001 <---- Turns it on

"NoSaveSettings"=dword:00000000 <-----Turns it off
