Log in trouble

When i start up my computer,it goes to the log in screen. Then when i type in
my password, and log in, it automatically logs me off. It does that even if i
go to another account. The same thing happened to some friends of mine and we
think it is because of Service Pack 2. HELP WANTED PLEASE!!!!
