Log file problem

Failed in my attempt to install MS ST 2005. Received error message 1622:
"Error opening installation log file. Verify that the specified log file
location exists and is writable."

Verified that Windows Installer is installed and image path appears to be
correct - C:\Windows\System32\Msiexec.exe/V.

Does anyone know how to verify log file location and that it's writable?

TIA

Is "MS ST 2005" Microsoft Streets and Trips 2005 ;?)

I think windows installer programs create their log files in \Windows\Temp
by default. To change the permission locate the folder in Windows Explorer,
right click, select properties and remove the tick from "read only"
attribute. If you open setup.ini from the installation disc with notepad
you might get more information under the Logging heading.

Ooops :) you may not be logged in with the administrator privileges required
to install a program. Check that first.
