Need Help

Unable to install MS Streets and Trips 2005. Receive error message: Error
opening installation log file. Verify that the specified log file location
exists and is writable.

Can someone please tell me how to check this?

First step is to clean out your temp/tmp folders.

I checked my temp folder. There are two items there: Perflib_Perfdata_9ac
(DAT file 16KB) and T30DebugLogFile (text document 0KB). Any ideas on a next
step? Thanks.

Reinstall (repair?)MSStreets... then uninstall.

Thanks for the input. However, I can't install S&T in order to repair and
uninstall as suggested.

The problems and solutions discussed in the articles about S&T 2005 seem to
deal with the program after it has been installed. And since I'm unable to
install, I'm not getting those error messages pertaining to the program
features. Can you please direct a non-computer expert (me) to how I fix the
installation log file problem so I can install the program?
