Locks up during update

The program ran without an update but as soon as I tried
to update it it locks up and does not work. I have to
reboot. I am running norton internet security 2005. in xp
sp2.
 
Try disabling Internet Security 2005 then run the update for Microsoft
AntiSpyware. I think the Microsoft AntiSpyware team are aware of this issue
and are working to resolve it.
