Locking items on master pages

Hello, I'm on a MAC using Office 2004, I also have access to a PC with 2003
if it makes a difference. Is there a way to lock some of the items on the
master slides (text boxes, images)?
 
Hi

Not really, no. Creating an image file with all your unmoveable elements and
then using that as the background fill (rather than insert -> image) will
deter most casual meddlers/accidental movement.
