Hello,
I've gone and locked myselft out of XP. I attempted a
tweak to just boot to the desktop without the "select
user" screen and locked myselft out.

A logon screen comes up with Administrator and asks for a
password. I've never used a password.

Can anyone help?

Thanks,
Henry

That doesn't work. Which I think to me means, I've done
something else. Is there just a default method to
override the password screen. I've tried reloading to
the last know good configuration using F8 during bootup,
but that doesn't work. I've just done this 2 hours ago,
so it shouldn't have made a new restore point yet (?).

I figured it out, duh. You just need to delete
the "Administrator" in the username, and use one of the
usernames that were previously on your welcome screen.
If you didn't use a password there, you're in.

I changed it back the way it was. What a pain in the
butt.
