Locking my computer

Usually when i press the 'windows key' and 'L' it locks my computer and the
windows logon screen appears with my username ready for me to put it my
password.

Now when i press the same keys it comes up with a box in the middle of the
screen asking my to enter my password.

How do i revert back to the old 'full screen' logon?

I have tried going into user accounts and the Windows Welcome screen is
ticked like it should be.

How do i revert back to the old 'full screen' logon?

Go into the Users control panel and turn on Fast User Switching. Note that
this will disable and render inaccessable features like synchronize offline
files and other services that expect the old-skool single-user environment.
