Locked Out of My PC

Operating System - Windows XP Pro. Some program I installed decided it was
best for me that I use an account to log into my computer. The typical
USERNAME-Administration, PASSWORD-(blank) . This is my problem, I followed
the advice of someone without confirming it as to how to just make the
computer open to desktop like it did before. I followed the advice of
disabling the admin account and the password account and after rebooting it
wouldn't let me in again but this time I couldn't even use admin or guest or
anything. I am now locked out and there are no accounts that I am aware of
to let me into the desktop. I know...I messed up by not learning about it
first but please, any help will be greatly appreciated. I'll keep this forum
open all night, the only computer I have now is this one at work.

Can you log into Safe Mode and use the Built-in Administrator account to
override the changes you made?, or even Restore before the Aliens taken over
your system <g>.

When I get home tonight I'm going to try and log into safe mode. I've never
done it before so hopefully it will bypass the log-in screen. I'm almost
certain that the built in administrator account was the one that I disabled.
I know it's said that it can't be disabled but believe me...I did it (I
think). I was also wondering if I would be able to run my windows home
edition recovery and just go with that or do I definately need my pro disks?
I have no idea where those went is the only problem.

To Enter the safe Mode on Start Up press F8 until you get the boot Options,
then select Safe mode from it and see the system restore from Start >> All
programs >> Accessories >> System Tool > System restore.

Nass thank you for all of your help, I really appreciate it. I'll try that
in a couple hours when I get home...I'll log back in here about this time
tomorrow and post if it worked for me or not. :)

Nass thank you so much, I can't believe that it was such an easy fix. Lesson
learned on this side. Thank you again for your help.
