Lock Unlock Problem

have a friend with Windows XP Home Edition who knows little about
computers and calls me when she needs help. I am stumped on her problem.

She said whenever her computer remains idle for 30 seconds or so, she gets a
Window that requires her to enter her user name and password. The window
says "The computer is in use and only you can unlock or an administator."
Then she has to enter her user name and password. Again, she says this
happens almost every 20 to 30 seconds if the computer is idle.

Does anyone know how to fix this problem. Thanks in advance.

Go to your Screensaver tab in Display Properties and remove the
check next to "on resume, display Welcome Screen".

I have this exact same problem. It just started in the last day and I don't
recall making any changes that could have caused it except the possibility
that there was a windows update before it started. I went to the screen
saver tab on display properties. Unfortunately, the only box to uncheck
there is: "On resume, password protect" which I would like to keep active.
Any other possible solutions to this annoying problem with the windows XP
locking?? Thanks.
