Lock Start Menu

Can anybody assist ?

I posted this last week & had no bites, hope it's OK to
try again.
I wish to lock the 'pinned items' area of the start menu
(ie the area above the line separating start menu items
from recently used programs) so that users cannot add to
or delete from this list. Is there any way of doing this ?

See MVP Kelly's site line 160 right hand side, "Disable or Enable Pin to
Start Menu - Right Click". Sounds like it might be what you're looking for.

Useful info, however I want to set items as pinned
and prevent users from changing them, rather than
disabling altogether

Well, if other users can't pin items to the Start menu because the option is
not on the right click, then seems to me that is exactly what you are looking
for. On the other hand, whether Kelly's tweak would also remove Unpin from
the r/click I don't know. KELLY!!!
