Local printing via TSE

Sarah Vermo

Hello,
We have a main office with a W2000 server behind a
firewall. Distant PCs are connected to the Internet via an
USB modem and establish a VPN tunnel with the main office.
Through this tunnel, they open a TSE session on the server
and work. A printer is connected locally to each distant
PCs. I would like to set-up the server to output the print
on the distant printer connected to the distant PC sending
the print.

Thanks.

Hi,

Using active directory users and computers, find the user
account for the user. Open the properties and select the
enviorment tab. You should see a check box at the bottom
of the screen that says "Defaul to main client printer"
check this box.
After active directory has replicated, usually 30-90 min.
A TSU should be able to print to the locally attached
printer, instead of the printer connected to your Terminal
server or network.
