Loading Powerpoint from Win 95 to Win XP

I purchased a new computer with Win XP and it does not
come with Powerpoint. I have Win 95 CD from my previous
computer. Can I load and run Powerpoint on my new
computer from my Win 95 CD? If so, How?

Neither Windows XP nor any other version of Windows has ever come
with PowerPoint, nor with any other significant application
software.

PowerPoint didn't come with Windows 95 either. If you have a
genuine Windows 95 installation CD, it won't be on there. If you
have a vendor's restore CD, it's possible that it's there.
However, whether you can load it by itself from a restore, I
doubt. Even if you could, it would be a violation of the
licensing agareement, since OEM copies are restricted to the
first computer they are installed on.

Greetings --

The Win95 CD won't help. You'll need to use either a PowerPoint
CD or an Office CD.

Neither the Microsoft Office application suite, nor any of its
individual component applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access,
Outlook, etc.), have _ever_ been "part" of *any* Windows operating
system. They are, and always have been, separate applications, that
must be purchased and installed separately.

Just like you didn't find PowerPoint with Windows XP, nor will you find
it with Windows 95.

see www.microsoft.com/office for how to buy.
