loading MS Office 2000 std on Windows XP

When I am loading my MSO 2000 STD, XP is unable to read a
file from the CD, cnfnot32.exe. If I trace the file path
(Pfiles\common\system\MAPI\1033\cnfnot32.exe), it is
there but the system doesn't recognize it. What do I do?
