I've been running Outlook and ONeNote (both 2007 on Windows XP, all up to
date) so they come up at boot up. I want to stop doing so, and have removed
the shortcuts from: C:\Documents and Settings\Donn Clark\Start Menu\Startup.
Both programs continue to load at boot up. How do I stop them?

Thanks,

There are various methods in which you could have enabled this. Outlook
doesn't hold an option to do so.
You could have created a scheduled task in Windows to start Outlook at
login.

Is the Outlook window actually opening as well or does only the outlook.exe
process start?
In case of the last, you have an application installed which starts at
startup and requires Outlook to run properly. The usual suspects are fax
software and having a mobile phone cradled to your computer; then the sync
application will start Outlook.

The entire program loads and comes up . . . both Outlook and OneNote. I've
removed a fax program and all scheduled tasks, so I'll reboot now and let you
know.

Thanks,
Donn
