Linux is Free

This is the SAME LAME excuse all Linux nut cases have been using for years
and years.
Give it up already there is simply no demand for your toy 19th century OS.

right, it is not the same this as buying a car.

in the time of Win95, i wanna to shut down the autorun of cd's without
shuting the "auto notification" of the cd drive... look and look and
could't find how to do it, the i started to look inside binaries looking
for the funtion, it took hours of searching but finally got it. then i use
an hexadecimal editor to change one caracter in system32.dll.
change the looking of "autorun.inf" to "autorun.onf", and cd's autorun cease
to work immediately, while the auto notification of cd drive was still
working.
then i posted what i did it and how, and got acused by some jurks of having
commited a crime and should be in jail, when all i did was improving my
system the way i liked.

Umm, OK. If you say so!

But if 2% of the world thought that the world was flat, then CLEARLY the
majority was right! So we have 2 cases here where the minority was
wrong - Linux and the flat earth people!

Thanks for clearing that up!

See that you've managed to copy and paste your usual garbage. Too bad

I'll say it again, anything worthwhile is worth repeating.

And no, the fact that I own a shitload of Micros~1 stock does not influence
my opinion.

So you've managed to install a toy OS. Big deal. Try doing some real work
and communicating with the rest of the world. A bit of a challenge with
Ubuntu. But if you like it then go for it. I'll stick with Microsoft
solutions because they pay the bills.

I do that on a Daily basis...with Ubuntu. It's Microsoft solutions that are
a pain to deal with. =)

The latest Eclipse 3.3 with CDT 4.0 just annihilates Visual Studio, and
this is coming from a very long time VS user who used to refuse to touch
any other IDE.

But I find that MS is severely neglecting their C/C++ editors and instead
puts all their effort into the .Net Editors which are pretty useless to me
these days.

I considered that as well.
However as bad as Kurt was at times, I do not recall him putting
someone down in one post for certain actions and doing that same
behavior in another post.
He was far more consistent in matching talk with actions.

I think you meant:
"There was a time when less than 2% of the world thought that the
world was round. The majority isn't always right."

However in the case of Windows, Linux and other OSs, no one OS is
right for everyone.
Everyone has differing needs and needs to choose based on those needs.

You are assuming that I assume that the minority is always right. Wrong
assumption.

I'm always happy to clear things up for people who make unfounded
assumptions.

It's only "good" if one accepts the premise that I think that the
minority is always right. Going too fast for you? Do you follow the
logic so far? I don't think that the minority is always right. Of
course, with your reading comprehension impairment, I am probably, once
again, going right over your boorish head.

hehehe...your first mistake is trying to "think"...lol...your second
mistake is trying to back pedal your way out of the crap you've just
stepped in.
You're ridiculously incompetent and glaringly stupid.
But you're a lot of fun to bit*h slap all over this ng...lol!

Very diplomatic of you. Most home users would be better off with Ubuntu.
We would have a lot less herd-bots that way. Course, repair techs
would have less Windows boxes to clean up ...

As far as I recall I never suggested any OS is always the best for
everyone and I am not sure if "diplomatic" is appropriate.
I have always believed everyone has to make their own choice.
Individual choice has little to do with diplomacy.

"Most home users would be better off..."
That can be debated and argued infinitely, and of course it is.
However at this point in time, I feel there is insufficient evidence
to support that claim.

The one thing I am certain is for my personal and family situation,
Windows is best.
And no one else is qualified to dispute that fact.

No assumptions anywhere in sight. I responded to what you wrote. But
DO keep trying to backpedal - it's quite amusing.
