Linux is Free

I know why Linux is free, They should be paying people to put this piece of
crap OS on their PC.
I installed about three weeks ago the install went smooth found all my
hardware and configured it.
I didn't install any programs I just wanted to try out this great OS that is
suppose to be so much better than Vista. What a joke it doesn't even come
close to windows 3.1, I booted into Linux 3 times in the last 3 weeks and
today it wont even finish booting. How can anyone take this crap OS
seriously it certainly cant be trusted with sensitive files personal or
business.

That's what appens when retards try to install an operative system.

This is off topic for this Windows Vista newsgroup.
If you are serious about trying Linux, you should post specifics of
your hardware, software and version of Linux to a Linux newsgroup.

Can you read I didn't try to install I did INSTALL worked 3 times then it
failed. But look who I'm talking to a uneducated Linux user

No, Linux is what happens when retards try to write an operating system.

This is off topic for this Windows Vista newsgroup.

Now Jupiter, aka Mat Kimball of Alberta, Canada attempts to be a Net
Nanny and set up rules he thinks he can enforce. Priceless!

Since this is a GENERAL newsgroup that includes discussion of
competing operating systems and talk about comparing them to Vista. I
for sure can understand why fanboys don't like Linux mentioned since
it is superior to Windows in several respects. In fact it's main
shortcoming is a lack of professional grade software support from
major developers. As far as the OS itself, the various flavors of
Linux are generally superior.

I guess fanboys like Jupiter think trying to keep that fact out of
groups like this is helping Microsoft keep their stranglehold on the
market. Again I ask, what's in it for you since you're such a rabid
defended of Microsoft?

Jupiter Jones [MVP]

Your stalking continues.
It is obvious you are stalking when your only posts are critical while
contributing NOTHING to the issues.

"to be a Net Nanny and set up rules he thinks he can enforce."
Your continuous insults continue.
Remove insults and criticism from your posts and there is nearly
nothing left.

"this is a GENERAL newsgroup"
Only partially true.
This is more specifically a Windows Vista General newsgroup.
I however did suggest the OP could find Linux solutions in a Linux
newsgroup.
Most (other than you apparently) would think Linux issues would be
better handled in a Linux newsgroup as I suggested.
More proof of your need to stalk and contribute NOTHING.

Contrary to what you seem to think, I NEVER criticized Linux.
Find where I did. You CAN'T
Or you should quit trying to misrepresent what was said.

So much of your drivel is pointless except in context of your need to
stalk.
As usual you did NOTHING to help with the OPs issue, Linux in this
case.

Are you able to help the OP with the Linux issues?
Or are you only able to make meaningless noise again?
The second is my guess, however we will see what you post for the
benefit of the OP.

Adam the stalker is unable to contribute intelligently so the need to
stalk and criticize.

Stop tying to be in charge. You're not.

Name calling, typical of ten year olds.

You being unable to control your temper or act adult continue to need
to respond to my posts and anyone else that dares to be critical of
Microsoft. Very telling. People have noticed.

Well, you're certainly not in charge...not even of yourself mr lush!

Name calling, typical of ten year olds.

You always open with an insult and everyone knows it!

You're always gonna get your stupid drunken asre bit*h slapped by me all
over this ng as long as you have that condescending attitude.
I bet you like though don't you as you keep coming back for more!

"Stop tying to be in charge. You're not."
Obviously I am not, perhaps your agenda requires something other than
facts again.

"Name calling, typical of ten year olds."
Then you describe yourself as a 10 year old since you need to insult
when you have nothing of value to contribute.

As for the suggestion I am calling you a name.
Not at all.
It is a description of your behavior in many of your posts.
1. You stalk me in a post.
2. Usually you attack what I say while contributing NOTHING to the
OP.
3. You are unable to control yourself and post civilly, insults seem
to be your nature and control your behavior.

"You being unable to control your temper or act adult continue to need
to respond to my posts"
And that is EXACTLY what you are doing with my posts.
It seems when you attempt to describe me. you are actually projecting.

"unable to control your temper"
You should look in the mirror before you post.
Your "temper" seems often out of control in many threads particularly
with Frank.

"and anyone else that dares to be critical of Microsoft"
More exaggerations to suit the needs of your agenda.
You seem unable to deal with issues when facts are against you so you
twist and make up your own.
"People have noticed."

Good by Adam the stalker.

What unadulterated crap. This is a ng to address "general" issues about
Vista not specifically covered by other Vista ng's.

Not Me

I have installed various versions on over 30 machines now, and I haven't had
even one fail like that.
My best guess, GIGO & EBKAC.

Rather unfair, Linux is free because its open source. And if you had taken a
little advice you might have learnt how to use it. But this is a vista list
and vista is one of the most expensive bits of software ever. That is the
difference. Vista is OK and so are many Linux versions.

This vista newsgroup attracts all the lowest level of idiots I have ever
seen swarmed together!

You are already use linux each time you surf the internet since 90% of all
servers are Linux...

If it was windows you would see ... you would see NOTHING!

now go along play with your dreaded vista crap pathetic toy excuse for an OS

Linux is not great for desktop use... but vista is the worst OS ever built

Luckily there are other older MS OS like XP and Win2k and Win2k3
or MAC OS that are good.

Heck give me ANYTHING but Vista!

What do you expect? Linux is a knock-off of a 40-year old operating system
designed by a money-losing division of your local telephone company.

It's possible that Microsoft secretly funds Linux development so that the
world's malcontents, cut-purses, and nay-sayers will congregate in its
environs and quit messing with normal folk. The rest of us can have,
therefore, an enjoyable computing experience.

I thought the same thing! MS funding Linux so the blind MS haters would go
to it instead of Apple. Devilishly cleaver.... ;)
