Links to Outlook Items

It appears in Outlook 2007 that links to Outlook messages such as
Outlook:00000000108D8524E0382B4DA38FD87F250D249DA4576E00 no longer work. I've
read rumblings that this is by design for 2007 in the name of security.

Are there any tweaks of the registry or otherwise that may restore this
function? Having this feature back would really help my productivity between
Outlook and OneNote.

AFAIK, that feature is gone forever. The folks on the OneNote forum might have some ideas for you, though. Some of them are heavy Outlook users as well.

Well that's disappointing. There must still be a way to launch launch a
specific message though, because Windows Desktop Search is able to do it. I
guess I need to really dig in and see what I can figure out.
