Links & Media In Favorites

I am working on Windows 2000 Professional & use Internet Explorer 6 as the default browser. Often I find that 2 folders named "Links" & "Media" automatically get listed to the Favorites list. Since they don't serve me any purpose, I delete it permanently.....only to find both the folders again in the Favorites menu after sometime! Is there some way by which these 2 folders can be got rid of once & for all so that they don't re-surface again in the Favorites menu?

Thanks,

Arpan

Arpan,
You can give both of those folders the Hidden attribute. Find them via
Windows Explorer, right-click> Properties> Attributes> Hidden. I find the
Links button & folder to be useful, but many people don't.
