Links don't work anymore

After I removed some programs (from the add/remove list),
I can't open links anymore. Links in emails don't work
either...I can't even post or answer here with this
machine, since the window won't open. Also, right
clicking and 'open in new window' won't work anymore.
Any ideas?

did a system restore to a day before I removed the
programs and everything was OK. Removed the
program "smard card reader" (stupid card from
target) ..and proplem was there again. Restored
again...and OK!
So I'm stuck with this program now...Argh!

Did a explorer repair, from add/remove program list.
